I thank the noble Lord for that very comprehensive reply. It is no more satisfactory than it was two days ago, but there we are. Clause 86 says:"““A company must at all times have a registered office to which all communications and notices may be addressed””."
I am surprised that that must be within the United Kingdom. We will take further advice on that. If we find the noble Lord’s arguments persuasive, we will not bring the amendment back, but if there is any doubt, we might return to it. In the mean time, I beg leave to withdraw the amendment.
