Sometimes one has to make diplomatic choices, as I think the noble Lord will know. If I remember rightly, there seemed to be consensus around the Committee that it did not like the phrase ““sustainable agriculture””. Diplomatically, we then arranged that the Bill would be so altered that the phrase did not exist. That seemed to satisfy the noble Lord, Lord Tyler, and others. That is not to say that there was no definition of ““sustainable agriculture””. We need not be so diplomatic or generous on ““sustainable development””.
