Racial and Religious Hatred Bill

My Lords, in my view the noble Baroness has conducted this matter with great skill and devotion. If one is examining detail, which is what was being examined in the later stages of the Bill’s progress through this House, one cannot do so as if it were the whole House. One has to make an arrangement for people to come along and express their views, and those who did so are to be thanked on our behalf for taking part in the discussions. As the noble Baroness has said, we shall all have a chance to see what is decided in the other place, and also to see how these decisions came to be reached in the other place, in due course. For my part, I am content to wait for that, in the mean time thanking those who have taken part for the progress that has so far been made. On Question, Bill passed, and returned to the Commons with amendments.
