Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Bill

I can only reiterate the information that I have, but of course I would not want to mislead the Committee in any way. The best thing that I can do is to pick this up in my discussion with my noble friend Lord Triesman. My understanding is that the recommendations are fed into the review of the workings of UK visas, which is important. I am not sure that the Government will always agree with every recommendation in any event, as the noble Lord will expect, but I take the point. I have already indicated that I know that there is an outstanding formal reply, but I will pick up the point and inform him definitely of the position.
