Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Bill

So far as I am aware, there has not been any correspondence since the publication of the JCHR report. Obviously, as is usual, correspondence will now ensue—very much, I expect, in the light of the discussion today. As a member of that committee, there is not much that I ought to say other than that I wholly agreed with the recommendation and that, as a lawyer, I cannot for the life of me understand why appeals against removal and against refusal to remain should be tampered with in any way. It does not seem reasonable or human. However, I merely turned up to find out what was going on; there is very little of any use that I can add and I shall say no more.
