Consumer Credit Bill

Proceeding contribution from Lord De Mauley (Conservative) in the House of Lords on Wednesday, 16 November 2005. It occurred during Debate on bills and Committee proceeding on Consumer Credit Bill.
I am grateful to the Minister for his response. We all acknowledge the complexity of the situation. I also note his comments that the amendment would not be universally acceptable, and that such concerns do not normally worry the Government. In the circumstances, however, I beg leave to withdraw the amendment. Amendment, by leave, withdrawn. [Amendment No. 36A not moved.] Clauses 66 and 67 agreed to. Clause 68 [Consequential amendments]:
