Civil Contingencies Act 2004 (Contingency Planning) Regulations 2005

Obviously, it would be silly indeed of me to say that we do not keep these things under review and we do not look again at things, because we do that all the time. That is part of our process. I take exception to what the noble Lord said; the relations are good and robust. The links and arrangements are well understood. Of course, we are happy with the way in which things have developed, but we are always looking to improve things. I have no indication from what I understand of military involvement and engagement that there are any problems at all, so I do not understand where the noble Lord is coming from on this. I suggest to him that he might want to consider it further too. Again, we keep all these things under review, and I am more than happy to engage in some dialogue with the noble Lord and other noble Lords who have participated in the debate. If they want to come and talk to us some more about this and receive some further briefing on those arrangements, I am more than happy to arrange that. On Question, Motion agreed to.
