I am not sure how grateful I should be for that intervention, but I shall do my best to accept it in the spirit in which it is offered. I should fess up, as I am national vice-chair of the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament, which I first joined at the age of 16. I have never left it, so I have continuity on the subject.
