Terrorism Bill

No, I want to make my final point. The right hon. and learned Member for Rushcliffe said that the clause was absurd and ridiculous. Lord Carlile, the independent reviewer of the legislation, said:"““In my view this proposal in its revised form is a proportionate response to the real and present danger of young radically minded people being persuaded towards terrorism by apparently authoritative tracts wrapped in a religious or quasi-religious context.””" The provision is neither absurd nor ridiculous; it is a genuine attempt to deal with a real mischief in our communities.
