The noble Lord, Lord de Mauley, asked how many couples had registered. The answer at this point is none. The Civil Partnership Act comes into force in December this year, so no couples have registered yet. Although the order appears detailed, it does no more than make consequential and supplementary amendments. I commend it to the Committee.
On Question, Motion agreed to.
