I follow the noble Lord, Lord Thomas, and the noble and learned Lord the Attorney-General, who have constantly referred back to the word ““dishonestly””. When the Attorney-General and the Committee reflect on this issue, they may consider that the beautiful simplicity is rather reduced by subsections (2) and (3). In reality, one does not need to go any further than to say that a representation is false if it is untrue or misleading. All the other details in the remainder of the subsections go to the question of dishonesty. It would be more beautiful and more simple if it stopped there. That is a broad consideration for the more detailed amendments that my noble friend is putting forward.
