My Lords, I was not going to refer to Greenland leaving the EU because of the unfairness to its fishermen. However, I am not sure of the relevance of that to the position in which the United Kingdom finds itself. I do not think that anyone in this debate is proposing—at least, nobody has said so—that the United Kingdom should leave the EU, however serious or otherwise the position on British fisheries may be.
