Question

To ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry, how many representations he received, and from whom, between 30th January 1998 and 31st January 1999 concerning the Monopolies and Mergers Commission investigation into the supply of raw cows' milk in Great Britain.

Mr. Michael J. Foster: To ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry how many representations he received, and from whom, between 30 January 1998 and 31 January 1999 concerning the Monopolies and Mergers Commission investigation into the supply of raw cows' milk in Great Britain. [73350] Dr. Howells: My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry has received a number of letters from hon. Members and from members of the public regarding the investigation by the Monopolies and Mergers Commission (MMC) into the supply of raw milk in Great Britain. Those representations have been passed to the MMC for them to consider.
