To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, what plans he has to extend the pasteurisation of milk; what species will be included.

Answer

Dr. Moonie: To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what plans he has to extend the pasteurisation of milk; what species will be included; and if he will make a statement. [30729] Mr. Rooker: We have no definite plans. We are consulting on a proposal to ban sales of raw cows' drinking milk throughout the UK, and will consider the issues in the light of the consultation responses and the scientific advice.
