To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, if he will list the average subsidy paid per suckler cow producer for each year since 1979. - Inc table since 1984-85.

Figures are derived from the annual Farm Business Survey and relate to England and Wales. The figure for 1996-97 takes account of additional BSE related payments made to producers that year.
