Question

To ask the Secretary of State for Health pursuant to his contribution of 31 January 2011, Official Report, column 605, on the Health and Social Care Bill, what the evidential basis is for his estimate that 4,000 lives could be saved every year if NHS outcomes for stroke were as good as the European average; and if he will place in the Library a copy of such evidence.
