Business of the House

As someone who spent nearly the first 40 years of my life in Luton and knows the Muslim community well, I think that I can say with some authority that the actions of those who took part in the protests the other day are not representative of the wider Muslim community there. I ask my right hon. and learned Friend to bear that in mind when she considers whether it is worth stoking up matters by holding a debate. Next Wednesday marks the 10th anniversary of our pledge to abolish child poverty. May we have a topical debate on the subject?
