Question

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer further to his contribution on 26 November 2008, Official Report, column 752, on the legally binding agreements with the Royal Bank of Scotland Group, Lloyds TSB and Halifax Bank of Scotland, whether he expects these agreements to extend to Ulster Bank.

Answer

The recapitalisation agreement is between the Treasury and the RBS holding company. Ulster Bank is part of the RBS holding company.
