Question

asked Her Majesty's Government:Further to the Written Answers by Lord Darzi of Denham on 22 January (WA 28), 19 March (WA 44), 21 April (WA 233-34) and 9 June (WA 80), how each of the different classes of human admixed embryos described in the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Bill could legally be cultured to form outgrowths beyond 14 days.

Answer

It will be for the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority to form a view, taking account of the detail of the specific research proposal at the time, on how each of the different classes of human admixed embryos described in the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Bill could legally be cultured to form outgrowths beyond 14 days.
