Sir Bernard Jenkin reported, that, following the recommendation of the Backbench Business Committee on applications considered at its meeting of 17 June, the Liaison Committee recommendation for the allocation of time for the consideration of Estimates on the first and second allotted days in the present session (Standing Order No. 145) is as follows: (1) that a day not later than 5 August be allotted for the consideration of the following Estimates for financial year 2021-22: Department for Education, in so far as it relates to the spending of the Department for Education on measures to support education recovery (on the application of Robert Halfon); and Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, insofar as it relates to the spending of the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government on building safety (on the application of Clive Betts); (2) that a further day not later than 5 August be allotted for the consideration of the following Estimate for financial year 2021-22: Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, insofar as it relates to the spending of the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office on Official Development Assistance and the British Council (on the application of Sarah Champion).
