Conduct of Government and Opposition Agriculture Spokesmen over BSE

Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Lord Bruce of Bennachie (Liberal Democrat), on Monday, 21 May 1990, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 18 members in total.
That this House expresses its dismay at the mischievous way in which Labour's shadow agriculture spokesman has misrepresented the situation over BSE regardless of the implications for the future of British agriculture, whilst at the same time expressing concern at the failure of the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food to conduct himself in a way which builds consumer confidence in the British beef industry; and calls for action to ensure the removal and destruction of all cow heads and clear licensing and labelling of foodstuffs.
The Early day motion has received an amendment sponsored by Baroness Quin (primary, Labour) and tabled on Tuesday, 22 May 1990. It has been signed by 9 members in total.
Amendment 1 - Conduct of Government and Opposition Agriculture Spokesmen over BSE (1038A1)
