CONSIDERATION OF THE DRAFT EQUALITY ACT (SEXUAL ORIENTATION) REGULATIONS 2007

Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Ann Widdecombe (Conservative), on Tuesday, 13 March 2007, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 21 members in total.
That this House notes that the draft Equality Act (Sexual Orientation) Regulations 2007 were laid before this House on 12th March 2007; further notes that, with unusual haste, they are due to be considered by a statutory instrument committee at 8.55 a.m. on 15th March; but believes that because of the profound implications for religious conscience and the extent of interest and concern in the country they should instead be considered and determined by the whole House.
The Early day motion has received an amendment sponsored by Evan Harris (primary, Liberal Democrat) and tabled on Tuesday, 13 March 2007. It has been signed by 3 members in total.
